Home Aftermarket
A great way to customize your bikes look or functionality is with using aftermarket parts. For the most part we like to use BMW OEM parts. They just fit better and last longer. There are several exceptions where aftermarket suppliers meet or exceed the OEM part. There are also many instances where creative companies have solved a problem in ergonomics, storage, lighting or safety that BMW has yet to incorporate.
Aftermarket parts can also save you money in several ways. We source parts from companies like Sachs or Bosch who are some of the original suppliers for BMW. These parts don’t say BMW but they still say Sachs or Bosch. We like to use companies like Motul for oils and EBC for brakes. These companies have great reputations and their products are used in professional racing applications. A set of EBC brake pads can save you around 50% off the BMW same part equivalent.
Suspension is another area we do not suggest using the OEM part. Aftermarket companies like Tractive offer superior products that will also save you money. A BMW rear shock and some of the front shocks are not serviceable, so if you have a leaky seal the whole shock needs to be replaced. A Tractive shock has superior valving, is completely serviceable and will plug right in to your electronic suspension, if you have it.
Many of our customers have other brands of motorcycles, ATVs or boats. Our parts accounts are pretty extensive so let us know what you are looking for and we can often times save you money. Plus you will be supporting your local motorcycle shop by going through us.
